Sitting on the couch of my nice but small and comfortable house, I hold a one hundred dollar bill in my hands, just twirling it around knowing that money really can buy anything. With the cameras rolling, they are positioned right in front of me as I glanced up at them and then back down to the money while beginning to speak.
Stevenson: You know, as I sit here trying to enjoy the day, ever since I heard who I thought was a close, personal friend say that he was going to break my leg for the twenty thousand dollar bounty that Frank Washington put out on me – it has made me re-think my position on several things.
Letting out a sigh since I am rather disappointed with Matt, I place the money right next to me on the couch and continue to speak.
Stevenson: The people who I thought were the closest to me have ended up to be rather distant or in your case Matthew, rocking that sheep mask showing me and everybody else just what kind of true colors that you sport. See Matt, I'm perfectly fine with the fact that you want to be twenty thousand dollars richer; who doesn't? But the thing that gets me the most is that instead of staying true to your friend, you let money get in the way which proves to me that I made a big mistake ever signing you to the Academy back when it was up and running.
Knowing that my words were very harsh, that's what it has come down to. Placing my hands together, I was in pretty deep thought but I knew exactly what I wanted to say because Matthew made it easy.
Stevenson: Now here's the part where Washington takes to Twitter and paints me as the bad guy because that's all he has done lately. But you see Matt, even though you have Frank's endorsement? That's not going to matter because now that I know what your intentions are; I know how to stop them.
You want to try and break my leg? You better bring an army behind you because that's simply not going to happen. Now throughout everything that you did say, you were right about one thing in particular and that is that I have the scars and the marks to show for our old battles – I will give you all the credit in the world for that but here's the thing, you're not the same Matt Ward that *I* faced all those years ago.
Now you can say that I'm wrong or full of shit, or whatever it is that you want to say but everybody knows that I'm telling the truth. Sure, you're still one violent mofo but the thing you're not is better than Scotty or I. That's not to say that you aren't good because you are but you are barking up the wrong tree my friend and I would highly suggest that you re-think your stance because what I want you to do is ask yourself; is twenty thousand dollars really worth throwing away years worth of a friendship?
Pausing, I leaned forward as the couch that I am sitting on made all kinds of noises. Keeping my dark brown eyes focused on the camera, I was really hoping that Matthew was actually listening to what I had to say because I didn't want to lose another friend in the first place and I really didn't want to have to put another one down.
Stevenson: Now I can't answer that one for you Matt, I really can't so you have to think about that one and decide for yourself. However, I know that Washington obviously got to you and as he would put it, you are starting to open up your eyes to the reality of who I am but he's wrong Matt, dead wrong and you should know that because we have been friends for what? Close to if not over TEN YEARS, ever since we first met back on the MSN circuit all those years ago so if anybody knows me then I thought it would be you.
But maybe I'm wrong, maybe you don't or maybe you never did but I know one thing for certain – I'm not the guy that Frank Washington says that I am and I have publicly apologized to him on more than one occasion, you know that and I'm not even seeking revenge for the fact that he wrapped a steel chair around my head because I made a big mistake back then, I let my money get to me but do you really want to do the same?
Not looking arrogant, mean or anything of the sorts, the only look that I currently have expressed is that of remorse because I truly did regret what I did to Frank and even though we would never put things aside? I would like to prevent Matt and I from becoming bitter enemies as well.
Stevenson: Take it from me or don't, the choice is really up to you but I'm telling you that if you try to break my leg? You are REALLY going to regret that decision down the long road, I promise you that!
Placing my hands down on the couch, I rise to my feet as I didn't forget about Chris Orton, no, I simply wanted to have a one on one conversation with my long time friend who I hope to keep. Walking out of my living room, I knew that the cameraman would take care of everything else as he did and the video feedback slowly fades to black.
