On a circular shaped black table we see two pictures- one of Bruce Willis and the other of Chris Williams. The huge index finger of Barrel tapped at the picture of Willis first as the camera panned up toward him.
"You've got an action hero and a never-was, wanna guess which one is Chris Williams?"
Barrel moved his smartphone toward a shot of Chris Williams immediately following being downed by The Burb Boys.
"One mistake you're constantly making is worrying about Frankie, it's like he's constantly on your mind. Are you Nikki Venom resurrected? Does he run around in your thoughts all day? Don't worry about Frankie- understand what's gonna happen at Unstoppable. Then again it's your M.O.. trying way too hard. Wait.. Try.. Hard.."
As it it suddenly dawned on him- Barrel put the two pictures together before shoving it off the table.
"Tryhard! The Tale of a Never-Was! I love that, go pitch the idea to some executives in Hollywood! The aspiring tale of what happens when you're in the industry for so long that your biggest accomplishment is a title based on a weak honor system to promote "sportsmanship." But you know what, wait- it actually was a trophy, not a title! You were never good enough to warrant having a championship attached to your name here!? Damn! Don't talk about elsewhere- I don't care about how much of a failure you were someplace else. What matters is the here- the now, and how you- Tryhard, can act as the beacon of hope you think people need but really you're just wasting your time. I heard the crowd's reactions dying each time you're out there- your return? Big pop.. crowd went wild. Now? Not so much, they see you- they go mild."
Barrel held out his shoulders in a classic "oh well" moment.
"So Tryhard continues to drive a wedge between me and Frankie, digging deeper and deeper- I'm surprised you didn't strike oil, Jed Clampett! What's next on the itinerary? Alligators in the sewers? The return of Bat Boy? I didn't know you contributed to the National Enquirer, but then again I shoulda known with how you try to throw shit at the wall to see what sticks. This is good though, I think Frankie and I need to sit down and hatch out the superhero and sidekick dynamic that means so much to Chris Williams. Obviously being The Enforcer of The Capital Crew means I abide to Frankie's every command because I'm jealous of him or something. Don't worry viewers- that didn't make sense to me either but then again Williams is The Tryhard so let's just chalk that up as an L- double L actually, it's in his last name."
With another shrug of his shoulders, Barrel leaned back in the metal chair as he scoffed.
"I find it funny that a guy who has been in two different MSW runs has only managed to capture one major accomplishment. And let's be honest here, the only reason you were put into the match at WAR was because Cornelius knew Frankie would rip through Montana one on one- he wanted another crash dummy in the front-seat of that brakeless Camaro. Don't get too big for your britches thinking you're this name that lights up the marquee- maybe you could have been, but you aren't now. As it stands? There's absolutely nothing special about you. Infact the only reason I'm back on camera and not off destroying bags of Skittles is because I had to make a run to the store to get more.. see?"
The camera shot over his shoulder to show that he was infact was in some market. Barrel enjoyed the amount of success he's managed to reach thus far in his career- good enough to make money and be recognized by some- but not enough for it to disrupt his everyday life. Despite how he comes across, he wasn't an outgoing individual, he was reserved and liked to keep it that way.
"Beta Barrel. I like the alliteration there, quite catchy. Not as profitable as The Tryhard but close.. but there you go again! Trying.. Failing, it's truly the Williams way. But do tell; Chris what have you done since losing to Frankie? You reached out and brought back Mister Polly Pocket Luke Jackson and have this rag-tag team thing going on with Badger but what else? What have you contributed that makes you irreplaceable? Think about that for a second, what do you offer MSW that someone else.. say.. uh, Scotty Addams doesn't? He's another "Never Say Die" guy, but the difference between he and you is he can go and win the Junior Heavyweight Championship- what's your career projection path? You think you're getting back up the ladder to face Frankie for the MSW Championship? You think I'm going to continue to waste my time with you when I've got MONEY waiting for me in another match with Silas Romero? Let's be real here- you've got nothing but potential but Chris with ten years in the goddamned game- you either need to shit or get off the pot rockstar! Potential is for the young guys, you're far from that! Don't you find it embarrassing that you've constantly told you've got 'potential' when you've got so much time vested into the industry? Any other person would have either broke that glass ceiling above them or just quit- not keep latching onto the 'what-if' like you're doing."
All Barrel could do- as you guessed, was shrug.
"Call me Beta Barrel all you want but it won't ever change the fact that I DRAW. Mexico or Missouri, my name- my image, it has value. 'Chris Williams' is just a synonym for trying and a cautionary tale for young guys to pick up on so they don't eventually end up like you- played the hell out and sticking around when you're not wanted anymore. Either you need to realize what you've got or accept the fact that you're just never going to be that good. Correct me if I'm wrong but.. Didn't you get your shot but blew it at WAR? Cutting to the chase here, you couldn't close the deal because what you love to talk about- that monstrous killer instinct- it don't exist. Truthfully you're like OKC, so much talent and promise.. but you choke when it matters the most. And speaking of OKC.. Which one are you, Durant or Westbrook? I've got you as KD, weak-willed albeit talented that has it in him to produce when needed but fails in the end. Badger is definitely Westbrook, he'll put up these brilliant moments but eventually shoot you out of the game because he doesn't trust you as he should as at the end of the day you're too passive. Which brings me to my next point.. Something that needs to be addressed.."
Turning his head away from the camera and to the left to give look of him being deep in thought- he nodded and smiled.
"If Badger is such a great ally, where the hell was he when Danny and Donny put your ass down? Not in or around the ring in a no DQ match, it wasn't until AFTER you lost that he popped up! So you wanna question loyalties? There's one staring you in the face- address your issues before you go and formulate this fantasy where The Capital Crew falls apart because of the words of some never-was, limited success having nobody like Chris Williams."
Almost as if Barrel was insulted in how easy Williams was making this, he picked up his phone and clicked the Otterbox clip back behind the phone and turned it to be horizontal rather than vertical.
"Is that the best you've got? Is this what I'm lead to believe is the best Chris Williams has to offer? Here I thought I would be able to bring out the absolute best. I was watching when you came back Chris, I thought there was something in you that could be a pillar of MSW.. But now I see it was just glitter in my eye from a Mexican stripper named Aurora giving me a lapdance. While you struggle to find relevancy I'm just beginning my boom in the states- you said you've been around for a decade? I've been around for 3 years and I've already achieved what you have and MORE. I'm known in two countries, you're barely recognized in two states! So Beta Barrel, huh? We'll see who the joke falls on when you get beat by a one-legged beta who got bullied as a kid."
Letting off a laugh, Barrel stood up and shook his head.
"At Unstoppable I'm going to make what Alabama did to Michigan State in the Cotton Bowl look like a Shirley Temple flick. The IMPURE title is coming home with me, count on that."
Cutting the feed of his video, the screen went to an abrupt black.
