The camera took to the big screen at the top of the ramp and it first brought us to a dark scene. Dark curtains swayed back and forth, it was rainy with flashes of lighting and sounds of thunder in the background and a figure started to emerge. A tall man, sporting a long black trench coat who's face wasn't visible until he got closer to the camera with a flash of lighting. It was Giant, a legend in the sport and currently one half of the MSW talent relations with Drew Stevenson. He was decked in his paint dressed in character.

Justin "Giant" Gravitt: The Ultimate Warrior... there's not much to be said. I dawned my face paint at the beginning of my career because of you, and because of Sting. From you I learned to go out to that ring each and every week and give it my all to be that larger than life personality. So... thank you Warrior. Thank you for all you did for this business. Thank you for all you did for the fans like me. Thank you for all you did to pave the way for fans like me to do this sport and participate in this business. Tonight I dawn my paint one more time in memory of you, a true wrestling hero.

Coming off of that, in front of a backdrop stood "The Architect" Bryce Manning.

Bryce Manning: “Time and time again, we’re forced to remember that as much as we love this business, it takes a toll on our bodies—it leaves a lasting impression physically, spiritually, emotionally—and mentally. On Tuesday, the industry lost a man that never beat around the bush—he told you straight and many times to your face that if he didn’t like you, he didn’t like you. I’m talk’n ‘bout a man that had the body of a Greek God and the intensity of the freak’n pit-bull… Of course, The Ultimate Warrior.”

It was unusual for Bryce to take this approach, he was old school and never broke [the last remaining] bits of kayfabe—but in this case, it was an absolute necessity. As he stood in front of the camera, his expression seemed much more toned down than usual, even his voice didn’t come across in the booming nature many of MSW had come to see recently.

Bryce: “Whether most of us like to admit it or not, there’s a few guys that got us sitt’n in front of our TVs when we was kids—The Ultimate Warrior for me, was one of them. Yeah, he went off and visited Parts Unknown when it was time to cut a promo—and that made Warrior different. He showed that as long as you’ve got the drive and the heart, you can do anything.. anything you want, brother. When I got the news, it hit me like a sack of bricks—it feels like I’ve lost not just a brother in the industry, but an idol.. a guy that helped me through the time where that jackass of a father left me high and dry as a kid. Warrior- Hogan.. Savage THOSE were my fathers—they were my heroes grow’n up. Know’n that he’s gone man, it hurts.. it hurts like a son-of-a-bitch but I know that he’s in a good place. His wife Dana, I never had the opportunity to meet you, but I wish you and your two beautiful daughters the best in life. You married a great man, one that many thought wasn’t very nice but THAT’s what pulled a guy like me towards him—I could relate to Warrior because he showed you don’t have to bite your tongue to be the man in this industry. From the face-paint.. to the electricity that hit once that music sounded.. to the guy that he was to his family.. God bless you. God bless you Warrior, I just hope Saint Peter got his ass out of the way before you came storm’n through those Pearly Gates!”

Not one to show much emotion, he held back a tear or two and instead pushed out a smile as he pointed up to the sky with his right index finger—

Bryce: “See I never forgot get’n the opportunity to see you live in MSG when I was younger-- It was one of the catalysts that put me where I’m at now. You’ve influenced a lot of us, some may admit it—some may not, but I’m one of them. I won’t shy away from saying that The Ultimate Warrior was one of the few guys who made me not just a fan but made me LOVE professional wrestling. Characters.. You taught us about characters- how it’s OK to live life on an elevated platform—it’s why Bryce Manning exists in the life of Brysen Gregory Manning..”

With a genuine smile crossed over his face now, Bryce allowed a few quick moments of his childhood play through his head—the moments where he would take away his little brother’s Ultimate Warrior wrestling buddy and gorilla press slam that sum’bitch and follow it up with a splash on a bed, which in turn would cause the boxspring to break and the frame to follow.

Bryce: "While you’re up there with Mach- with Andre- with Eddie.. Bam Bam Gordy—Curt Henning, Rick Rude.. - with Bigelow, with Chris Candido.. You look down at us, you look at the new generation and know that speech you gave on Saturday—and then on Monday.. Know It motivated and pushed a lot of guys. Never settle for nothing less than what you feel you deserve.. We know that now. Like you said—No matter what—The Ultimate Warrior.. With run in the hearts and minds of the fans.. FOREVER.”

Bryce reached for his gold crucifix hanging off of his gold chain and grasped it in his right hand, all as he nodded his head and looked down at the ground.. all as the camera faded off.

Smith: uching words from everybody, but we continue on as we go to our main event of the evening!

SINGLES MATCH - FIRST ROUND
Bryce Manning Vs Lance Peterson

Standing in the ring, looking at the entrance for Bryce Manning's arrival stood with "Five to One" by Marilyn Manson hits but instead of coming from the entrance, Bryce ends up making his way in through the crowd. They're hot, red hot and booing loudly and Bryce gets to the apron. Peterson didn't see it coming and Bryce performed a reverse sit-out neckbreaker to Lance Peterson, draping him across the ropes and falling flat on his face. Bryce entered the ring, and the bell sounded.

Smith: That's low! Bryce Manning just jumped Lance Peterson from behind! This is a tournament of class, damnit!

Bradford: Earlier today Bryce Manning said that he was going to stop at nothing to make sure that he gets what he deserves, and that's the MSW championship. Lance Peterson is a great athlete and nobody can take that away from him. Bryce knows that and Bryce got the upper hand at the start, it's a veteran move, Smith.

Smith: It's b/s for what could be an amazing match, our main event no less.

Bryce went right in for the attack with heavy stomps while Peterson was on the ground holding his neck. Near the ropes, Bryce got onto the middle rope, holding onto the top he came down with a knee focusing on Peterson's neck. He did it once, but then he did it again, and even one more time. Peterson holding his neck rolled to the outside to recover and the outside count started.

Crowd: BOOOOOOOOO! YOU SUCK MAN-NING, YOU SUCK! *clap, clap* YOU SUCK MAN-NING, YOU SUCK! *clap, clap*

Smith: Bryce vicious from the beginning going after that neck almost like he's trying to immobilize Lance Peterson from the start. I could imagine the whiplash to the neck from a move like the Spineshanker could hold off the the ability to kick out of a pin.

Bradford: Exactly. Or maybe we'll be seeing something you. With Bryce Manning you never know, Smith. You never - know. That's what makes him so damn good at what he does in the ring. That's why he was able to carry promotions on his back. That's why he's The Architect, and that's why he sets the perfect example!

Smith: A perfect example? He's trying to cripple the man!

Bradford: Peterson is no saint himself, Smith. He's a top notch athlete and he knows the risks he's getting into in any sport. If he didn't do his homework on Bryce, that's his fault.

It didn't take Bryce long before he follows Peterson outside the ring who then turns around, swinging a right hand connecting on Bryce but not with much power as he goes back to holding his neck before Bryce takes him down with Lariat, hitting the mat hard. The outside count was getting up there to about 7 before Bryce threw Peterson back in the ring. Bryce seemed to stalk him and started to lift Peterson off of the ground before out of no where he landed an STO.

Smith: Flagged! Peterson just hit Flagged, that vicious STO and a cover!

Bradford: Come on Bryce, kick out!

One... Two.. No!

Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It was close but no cigar as Bryce kicked out with a shoulder up. The pain was seen in Peterson's face but he moved Bryce to his side and started to drive knees of his own into Bryce's back repeatedly. But Lance got a bit ahead of himself and started to taunt the crowd who in this instance was behind him, as he opposed Bryce Manning. Bryce was getting up and Peterson came at him with a lariat knocking Bryce off of his feet. He was quick to get back up and Peterson connected with a series of two more before he was getting hyped up and calling for his spinebuster.

Crowd: YEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!

Smith: We could be seeing a big move coming up here, Bradford! The adrennalin is pumping and his neck isn't even bothering him anymore! Peterson is on a roll and looks to be calling for an end here any moment!

Bradford: Bryce isn't going to let it end here, no way no how! He's been on a roll since he debuted knocking out Scotty Addams and Drew Stevenson and has made it his personal goal to get to the MSW championship one way or another. Bryce believes, and so do I, that the title was made for him. Peterson is great and he's on a roll but he's spending too much time taunting and waiting on Bryce. If you wanna beat Bryce, which doesn't happen often, you have to either out-do him, or when you get him down stay on him and don't give him room to breathe.

Bryce was slowly getting to his feet with a stagger and Peterson went right in trying to hook Bryce for that spinebuster, getting him off of the ground. Bryce however, countered and swooped behind Peterson. Bryce connected with a forearm to his back to stagger him and turned Peterson around. Upon turning him around Bryce hooked the arm and lifted Peterson high into the air for a sambo slam, and dropped his back right across Bryce's knee with the Spineshanker and went in for the pin.

Bradford: I told you!! I told you, Smith! Bryce has it won!

Smith: ...

One... Two... Three!

Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Barbara: Your winner and advancing to the Quarter finals... BRRYYYYCCEEE MAAANNNINNNGG!

Smith: Peterson fought with heart but Manning shows his talent and advances to the next round. Well that's all the time we have for you, folks! Tank you for joining us in another amazing episode and thank you for joining us in honoroing the memory of the one and only Ultimate Warrior. You'll always be in our hearts, Warrior, and we thank you for all you've done for this business!
