Chained Together:
Luke Jackson is in the back and he has a dog collar next to him and he looks at it. He runs his hand over the chain and then takes his hand off of it and looks at it.
Luke Jackson: My whole time in MSW is coming to this moment at Best of the Best. Everything I have done everything I have thought of has been coming to this match this night against Matt Ward.
Luke sighs as he looks into the camera.
Luke Jackson: I had a shot at the title and I was close but Bryce Manning beat me. But Matt Ward decided to step up the game by coming out during that match and that is why I paid him back by doing the same thin. He cost me my shot so I had to cost him his.
I’m SICK OF MATT WARD!
Luke yells at the top of his lungs and gets up and grabs the dog collar.
Luke Jackson: I don’t want this match. Matt Ward wants this match he wants this match because deep down in the heart of his hearts he knows this is the only way he can beat me. I’ve had two matches with him and in the first match he didn’t pin me he pinned Loose Cannon and in the second one I beat him in the middle of that ring. I planted the seed of doubt into his mind. I became a nat to him. I’m still buzzing around him and he swats and swats but he can’t hit me.
Granted he might be bigger than me and he might hit a hell of a lot harder than I do but I need to get over that I can’t think about that. But what I have to think about is how he really has taken my biggest advantage that I had over him away from me and that is my speed and my athletic ability. That is the single biggest key in this match I won’t be able to fly high above him because he has grounded me, him and I are now on the same page. We are both on the mat because of this.
Luke brings up the dog collar so the camera can see it and he shakes his head.
Luke Jackson: Everyone says that he is going to win this match because of this and I might be inclined to agree on some part because well you are the favorite. He has EVERYTHING on his side man and that hurts me to say that. He has the anger he has the size he has the power and that is pretty much all you need in a match like this.
But there is one thing he doesn’t have and that is the heart. That is what is going to win me this match. I will not back down I can’t back down. I’m the kid and this company needs to watch the kid in action and Matt Ward is going to regret putting this on my neck because when I beat him with this on my neck how the hell is he going to beat me? When he can’t even beat me when he has 100% of the advantage?
Luke shoots a smile and the camera fades to black. |

Still Breathing:
Luke Jackson is walking in the backstage area when the camera comes upon him. He looks at the camera and shakes his head. Then smiles and rubs his chin.
Luke Jackson: Go ahead ask me how I feel? Ask me what I think this match is going to be like. Ask me how my nerves are seeing as the match is ticking closer and closer. I know you want to.
Luke keeps walking as the camera follows him and he keeps speaking.
Luke Jackson: This match has been weighing on my mind for some time now. Every damn week for the past month when I walk these halls everyone asks me why are you taking on Matt Ward why are you putting your career on the line in a match like this.
“Little Luke Jackson is going to get hurt, little Luke Jackson is going to be a little smear on the boot of Matt Ward.”
I’ve heard people say that I have seen the side way glances of people and them shaking their heads at me. I totally understand it though man, Matt Ward is bigger than me and quite frankly he is stronger than me. Everything that I said a few days ago still rings true. Matt Ward is the favorite in this match Matt Ward is pretty much already written down as the winner. No one and I mean no one thinks I can beat him thats’ fine I like it that way and I want it that way.
Luke Jackson stops and he sees a picture of Matt Ward and he studies it.
Luke Jackson: In a few days time Matt Ward and I will be chained together and the preverbal key will be thrown away and the only time the key will come into play is when the match is over.
I know why Matt Ward did this man and I have told you. He wanted to gain the advantage over me because he is sick and tired of hearing the negative comments that he got when I beat him the first time. He needed the upper hand and that is why he brought the dog collar into play. He knows that this is the only chance he has he can’t beat me one on one. He needs to beat me when I’m tied up when I can’t jump from that top rope. I mean look at the tub of lard man do you think he can get to the top rope and do something? Do you think that man can run a sub 5 in the 40 yard dash?
Luke laughs and then shakes his head.
Luke Jackson: That is why he has grounded me that is why he has eliminated my speed. He can’t keep up with me so he does something that put all the advantage on his side. But it doesn’t matter I shall overcome man this is what I want to do and this is what I need to do. Plus most of the heat is off of me. I have already beaten him once and this is his shot but what happens if he losses to me in this match? Like I have said he needs this more than I do, he needs to get his hand raised in victory because if he loses to me in a match that is tailor made for him then he will never become champion in this company. I just find it funny that a man that big can’t beat a kid from Oakland California.
Luke laughs once more and keeps walking down the hall way.
Luke Jackson: Best of the Best is where the underdog when he is all tied up and has nowhere to go is going to come out on top and that fat tub of lard is going to have to explain to Larissa how the “kid” beat him once again. For Matt Ward Best of the Best isn’t going to be his night, its’ going to be mine.
Luke winks and walks into the locker room and closes the door behind him. |
