** OOC: I messed up my deadline by an hour, I went by CST time not CDT time (which I was just corrected on) - from the UK, so an honest mistake. **
The scene opens.
The skies are as clear as ever, the light from the stars is enough to dimly light the surroundings and create a somewhat euphoric ambiance. The clouds have gone for the evening as a peaceful silence fills the air.
The camera pans from the beautiful night skies, coming down and through the trees and bushes, the stars bouncing off the water features that are just coming into the view.
As we look around the shot, we can see that it is the premesis of Steve Thunder.
Walking around the premesis, the stars once again bounce this time off the cars along the driveway. There seems to be one more than usual, a metalic white 2014 Range Rover, the license plate reading ' L THUNDER.' Alongside this is the jet black 2014 Ford Mustang of Steve Thunder, license plate 'THUNDER 1.'
Moving past the cars, looking toward the house, we can see the gentle lights inside the front rooms of the home - we move past this as slight noise can be heard from around the back of the home.
As we walk around the house, we get to the pool area where we can see Steve Thunder sat on the edge with his feet in the pool. He has champagne on ice, with a tall glass beside him.
A door closes on the house but we don't get a proper glimpse of who it is.
Steve Thunder: Hey, if it isn't my late night rendevous regulars - the MSW crew...
Thunder picks up his glass, taking a sip, he smirks.
Steve Thunder: ... ya'know, it's hard to even let it bother me when the night is as amazin' as this one is
He pushes himself up from the side of the pool, grabbing his glass and the champagne and taking it over to one of the seats nearby the edge of the pool.
Steve Thunder: Tell me, bro, how often do you see a night like this? Ya'know, not a cloud in the sky, and all you can see is stars...
He smirks, letting out a little laugh to himself.
Steve Thunder: I'm sure there is some clever analogy in there somewhere that relates that back to how i'm feelin' right now.. but i'm two bottles of champagne deep and that thought process really aint there...
Everybody has that one person, or one place, that makes them feel like nobody else is watchin' and even if they are they don't care. It's like a moment of serenity, a brief glimpse of how simple life could be; a safe zone. By openin' ourselves up to that feelin' we leave ourselves open to those who seek to take advantage of anythin' they can. Ya'know, sometimes it's worth the risk of that happenin' just so that we can experience those brief moments that we forget anythin' like that ever could.
[[ Vulnerability - She ]]
Thunder leans back in his seat, finishing his glass of champagne and speaking to us without taking his eyes from the night sky.
Steve Thunder: Lookin' up at that sky, it really clears the mind, makes you realise the things that matter. When you look at things logically like that, it makes it easy to think about where things are goin'
He refills his glass before continuing.
Steve Thunder: Since I arrived at the MSW, i've been waitin' for my moment to show everybody what I can do... ya'know, that match that people see i'm not just another face in the locker room... i'm gonna be THE face in the locker room..
Thunder pauses briefly.
Steve Thunder: ... but i'm still waitin'!
He sits up in his seat.
Steve Thunder: See, my first match I was stuck in the ring with I don't know how many other wrestlers and really I didn't get to showcase too much. Then I got thrown in against Jorge Santos, sure he's a great athlete and all but not exactly that game changer that shows everybody I can be pushed to my limits and come out on top..
Thunder gulps down his champagne, as behind him we can see a figure moving around inside his house.
Steve Thunder: So, that leads me to this week...
Our attention seems to turn from Thunder to the figure inside the house, as he notices, we see Thunder put his hand on the side of the camera and move it back toward him.
Steve Thunder: Focus.
He tops his glass up again.
Its not that i'm an alcoholic, it's just that I like to live a high life!
Steve Thunder: ... as I was saying, this week. Neforian.
Thunder throws his legs over the chair to properly face the camera and crew.
Steve Thunder: This guy has been out of action for weeks, and just decides to come back and it's me who he gets thrown in against. Hell, i'm all for provin' myself and challengin' myself and whatever - but when are people gonna start to take notice?
Camera Man: Well, it has only been ----
Thunder cuts him off.
Steve Thunder: I know how long it's been, bro. See, I don't care who I wrestle... but give me somebody with some credibility that I can actually get some praise for beatin'! I mean, sure, Neforian would be a great choice... if he wasn't just returnin' from a break. It's like he's bein' dumped on me.
The door to Thunders house opens behind him, nobody comes out, but the air of mystery seems to be driving our crew crazy.
Steve Thunder: If the MSW want's to challenge me, wants me to prove myself, then let me fight somebody that's gonna make the powers that be take notice when I beat 'em.
Thunder swills his glass a little before knocking it back and beginning to refill it.
Steve Thunder: Ya'see, I don't usually get bothered by things like this... ya wanna toss me to the wolves, go for it, i'll fight my way outta the pit. I kinda feel like i'm racin' against the clock now though, we have a supercard comin' up... and i'm stuck in limbo...
Thunder stands up, grabbing his glass and his champagne.
Steve Thunder: Somethin' I hope changes when I beat Neforian this week, and send his little Apocalpyse army on their way with him if they wanna stick their noses in, bro.
Thunder starts to walk toward the open door of his house.
When he reaches it he stands there for a moment.
Steve Thunder: Oh... I almost forgot...
Thunder pushes the door a little further open, extending his hand for somebody inside the house.
Steve Thunder: MSW, there's somebody i'd like you to meet...
From inside the house a slender, tanned female walks out. A vision for us all to see.
Steve Thunder: ... this... is Lauren.
Thunder leans toward Lauren, giving her a kiss before both of them step into the house leaving our crew standing wondering what just happened.
To be continued...
