So, I have seen that the early reviews for this film have been pretty positive and surprising so basically what I want to do in this thread is ask you a couple of questions and see what the answers are so Copy and Paste in a reply and that will open the thread up.
1.) What was your reaction when it was announced that Nickelodeon was doing a Live Action reboot? 2.) What was your reaction when you heard that Michael Bay was signed on as an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER? 3.) How do you think Megan Fox is going to do as April O'Neil? 4.) What are you hoping to get out of the reboot that you haven't in the past four movies?
5.) Do you think that the reboot looks good? What do you like and What do you hate? 6.) Who is your favorite turtle and why?
If you want to totally unload your feelings in this post or vent that is fine with me. I am very curious to see what everyone thinks and try to keep in mind that Michael Bay isn't directing it (Thank the Lord) but that he is an Executive Producer. The thing I want this to turn into is a Michael Bay hate thread. |

General disinterest. Okay, it wouldn't be the first TMNT movie, so it would probably suck. I am a cynic.
2.) What was your reaction when you heard that Michael Bay was signed on as an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER?
My cynicism grew three times larger that day. Then I saw the design.
3.) How do you think Megan Fox is going to do as April O'Neil?
Well, I have a soft spot for Megan Fox, but she wouldn't be nowhere on my list for people to play April O'Neil.
4.) What are you hoping to get out of the reboot that you haven't in the past four movies?
Nothing! HAHAHAHA! It's going to be subpar at best.
5.) Do you think that the reboot looks good? What do you like and What do you hate?
I didn't have anything towards it, really. I then saw the designs. They are trying to make us take TMNT seriously. There is no way in hell I can take a series about radioactively altered turtles seriously. I haven't seen anything I really like yet.
6.) Who is your favorite turtle and why?
I was always a Donatello fan. He had a bo staff and that is one of my favorite weapons ever. Also, he was the smart one.

1.) What was your reaction when it was announced that Nickelodeon was doing a Live Action reboot? - "Um... HELL YES! Live Action TMNT hasn't been done in YEARS!!!"
2.) What was your reaction when you heard that Michael Bay was signed on as an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER? - "Just to be clear, he is just an Executive Producer right? Cause uh if he touches this and murders my childhood... Someone is going to have to answer for it."
3.) How do you think Megan Fox is going to do as April O'Neil? - Our first glimpse of her in the teaser all we hear is moaning and at first that sent up red flags for me... Then I saw a bit more and they continued to increase our sample size with extended trailers and... I gotta say, she isn't half bad THUS FAR. Knowing now, from the footage taken from a panel at Comic Con, that she is a fan of the 80's cartoon eases my mind a bit and I think she'll pull it off and hopefully be as good as the April we were introduced to in the 1990 Live Action Movie.
4.) What are you hoping to get out of the reboot that you haven't in the past four movies? - To be honest, nothing. I know the characters and the franchise itself and if I want a dark and gritty take on the turtles the original comics are only a download away. What I hope is that they keep the relationships between the turtles and Master Splinter the same as it's always been and judging by what little I have seen it looks like they have.
5.) Do you think that the reboot looks good? What do you like and What do you hate? - I honestly have no idea. I have enjoyed the trailers for the movie and I have to give a kudos to the makers of the movie throwing in the line about them NOT being ALIENS. That was one of the things that HIGHLY annoyed me whenever I first heard that was going to be part of the story. There really isn't anything I hate about what I have seen... Scratch that! There had better be some kind of explanation for why these turtles look the way they look and they don't use any of the gear that is attached to them I am going to be a little annoyed. 6.) Who is your favorite turtle and why? - My favorite turtle is and has been since I first saw them... Donatello. I use a lot of purple when I RP and that's one of the reasons for it other then it being a cool color. Why? Because I am a total techie. I get SUPER excited about E3 and anything Apple or Samsung related or just anything technology related period. I do identify with all the turtles tho but Donatello is absolute favorite without question. |

Excited, intrigued.

Fine with me, I know he can be over the top but I enjoy his movies.

I was taken back.

More action? Definitely more fighting scenes with dubstep playing.

Looks good yes, their noses look weird. And when did they get on HGH?
6.) Who is your favorite turtle and why?
Michelangelo, he is the party turtle lol.
