A vignette played prior to the official start of the video. Shawna Martinez, the first ever MSW Women’s Champion, was driven into the mat by Artemis Kaiser. Artemis, a young rookie, who demanded a title shot, got her wish, and shocked the world. Not only did she win the MSW Women’s Championship, she broke Shawna’s neck, causing a change in the foundation of Missouri State Wrestling.
Next, Kat Jones walked around, speaking ill of her former rival, Artemis. She dismissed her the entire time, but the video skipped to an event. Back to Basics, one of the best grossing events in MSW history, came forward. Kat Jones laid on the mat, unconscious, while a hurt but victorious Artemis stood with her championship high in the air.
Finally, Marie Porter, the bubbly fan favorite, danced around. It showed her victory at Back to Basics to secure her championship shot so long ago. However, the next shot showed her unconscious as Artemis stood over her with her championship and a bloodthirsty expression upon her face.
A fade transition then showed a montage of all the new Women of Tradition. It ended with a single shot of Artemis Kaiser, garbed in warrior’s clothing, sitting upon a throne. Her championship rested upon her lap. She looked up into the camera, a hostile expression upon her face. One sentence left her lips.
“Missouri State Wrestling, Women of Tradition…”
She showed that infamous, savage grin of hers. The screams of all her victims rang out, before cutting to an eerie silence. She broke it with one statement.
“Your champion has returned.”

It was a simple setting, really. A chair stood in a stationary camera. It filmed a blank, white room. A crack in the wall came, showing that a door was being opened. When it did, the figure of a familiar short female came into the background. She closed the door, the only thing truly visible was her wild, brunette locks and a long black trench coat. She took it off and placed it upon the ground. Underneath that, she wore a black shirt with a MSW logo on the back. It was small, but visible by its bright yellow color. She wore black jeans that were tight upon her form. She closed the door gently, bringing back the white space. She eyed the wall for a moment, intrigued by it.
Artemis turned to the chair and walked towards it. The click of her combats boots rung out in the silence. She sat down in front of the camera. Her shirt said only a few words, a familiar phrase: “Champ for Life!”
In her hand, she held the MSW Women’s Championship, the most sought after prize in women’s wrestling today. Was it because the Women of Tradition has been up’ing the game since its iteration two years ago? Of course, but the woman at the helm of that? Not Kat Jones, not Shawna Martinez, not Marie Porter. It was The Champ for Life, the first and only MSW Triple Crown Champion, and the pound for pound best damn competitor in MSW history. Artemis Kaiser.
She sniffed, before guiding the back of her hand underneath her nose. “Really now?”
“First off, glint, you can take off that Marie Porter mask, it’s unbecoming of you. In fact, it’s downright ugly. Ugly to the point that it’s going to make me puke.”
“Second, you can stop getting on your knees and praying to God that I don’t show up. That was your hope, huh? Your biggest hope in the whole damn world was that Artemis Kaiser doesn’t show up to the next Unstoppable. I get stripped of my belt and you get a shot at this pretty belt here,” Artemis rose her championship high above her head, letting it glisten in the light. “If that was your only hope, then you’re hopeless, because I can announce that I will be back to defend this here belt, the best belt in MSW right now.”
“Last time I was here, I made history. Tag Team, Women’s, and PURE15 all in one go. I was on top of the world, until I got wrapped into silly politics with the man that runs this place,” Artemis’s face cringed at the thought of IC3. “In any regard, I got screwed out of my PURE15 Championship and gotten written up with a ‘concussion’. So I took some time away. I let the whole thing run its course and boy, did mess change when I got the word that I’ll be coming back. Cocheese and friends came around and threw this place for a loop. But the most important thing to me right now is that the Women of Tradition is back in business and my belt was back in circulation.”
“I can say that my last moments here caused some negativism to linger and I bet that gives you a smile somewhere in that stupid head of yours, eh? You think because you got some shine and got some wins under your belt that you can stand before me? As I’ve already stated, you don’t have a prayer. It’s not because you’re untalented. No, I can see potential all through your veins. MSW don’t hire any scrubs to come rotten the place up. Nope, not at all. They hire the best damn people to liven this place up. Additionally, they make sure that the Women here are up to snuff, probably better than the dudes.”
“So you’re talented, but ‘talent’ is a dime a dozen word nowadays. And I have more talent than you will have any day. So that’s not something you can depend on. Is it that smiling personality you got?” the devious champion snickered, “Hell no.”
“Everyone and their mama has personality too. Like I said earlier, you remind me of Marie Porter. And everyone here knows how much I despise that girl there. So if that’s the thing you cling to, then by all the Gods in all the different heavens, I am going to beat you for daring to think that is going to get you this belt here.”
“You want to know why you have me really heated, glint? It is not that painstakingly sweet attitude you have. It is not your stupid face plastered in the center of the MSW headlines. It is not even the fact that you are standing before me, trying to take what is mine. It is the fact that you came up, sat down, and dared to say that you are not going to WASTE a promo on someone who might not show up,” Artemis rolled her eyes and let out a guttural roar. “You are only a few matches in and you want to disrespect me.”
“Is that going to be the trend? Everyone fresh and new here is going to go back and talk about how I took my MANDATORY break? Is everyone going to disrespect me like they did back when I tore this title away from Shawna Martinez’s broken body?” Artemis let free a derisive laugh. “I hope they do. I REALLY HOPE THAT IS THE CASE!”
“THE CHAMP FOR LIFE was born from the hatred and the disrespect of everyone in this place. Giant, Shawna, Kat, Marie, and ANY OTHER MAN OR WOMAN who decided that they wanted to come at me with that mess? Giant got shut up. Shawna got her neck snapped. Kat got wrecked. And lo and behold, after a whole year of waiting, Marie Porter caught the same elbow that you are about to catch, glint.”
Artemis stopped for a second, rubbing her against the championship. “Maybe this was what I really needed. I feel alive for the first time in ages, glint. My last outing here, I did not feel the best. I was on top of the world, but I am a wolf. I work best when I have things to slaughter. When my mind settles on being the best, I do not operate the same. But when petulant, little girls like you step in MY WASTELAND and try to steal from me…I cannot help but feel a certain kind of way.”
“So don’t you dare sit there on your weak ass pedestal and talk to me like I am not the one that EVERYONE wants to beat. Because you best believe one thing, glint…” Artemis stood up, raising her championship high into the air again. Her eyes glaring daggers into the camera and at whoever may watch the video, “I will drag you down off that pedestal and make a damn example out of you, you understand me?”
“So you take all of that pedestal, flower power, shine, or whatever the hell you believe in and shove it up your arse.”
“I am THE CHAMP FOR LIFE and I demand respect. And if I do not get it…”
“I rip it away from you like I did with Shawna.”
