I guess it is time for words to end huh LeBroc?
Luke Jackson is walking backstage. He has his wresting gear on as he slumps down on a chair and smiles a little bit.
I like you I really do but now you are back peddling man? Really?
He shrugs his shoulders and shakes his head.
That has kind of disappointed me. I wanted to see you keep on coming out and questioning what I said and how I said it. But now you feel bad that you made me the bad guy really? Come on man. You are supposed to do that you are supposed to make me question myself and wonder why I am in the ring with you. Look man you and I, will put on a great match there is no doubt about that. I just have to ask why all of the sudden the change of attitude are you trying to get into my head man? See I’m never going to change the attitude I have towards you. I know that you are good and I know that I will have to be on the top of my game because you will throw everything you have at me and I will just have to rise above it but man you just seem so wishy-washy as of late. Oh well I guess that is what you are. You say one thing and you swear that up and down and then all of the sudden you change man and it just leaves me shaking my head. But it’s cool that doesn’t take away from the skills that I know you have.
He shakes his head and puts his hands together as he looks deep into the camera.
As I have said from the day I knew that I was matched up against you man. I knew I would have to look over my shoulder in this match because of the pals that you have. See I am not worried about them and the Jr. Heavyweight title because we both know that they aren’t going to lose weight. It would be hard for them to do that man and it would change the way they wrestle and all of that. I have always been more worried about them helping you win matches and you can say oh they won’t do that but are you in their heads? You can say one thing and they can be thinking something completely opposite. This is why I keep talking about them and why no matter who you face in that ring they will talk about it. You three are a group and all three of you want the best thing for the other. They want to see you win because they want to see you rise up through the ranks. My thinking is man why the hell wouldn’t they help you in this match if given the opportunity. Of course you can bring up the fact that if they helped you it would be a DQ and all of that. What if the ref falls down though see then it wouldn’t matter and they could do whatever it takes.
The Alley Cat Rule might be a dumb thing to keep bringing up but man it still is there right? You mention in and you talk about that is what you are using to gain an advantage in the hardcore division. I want to know do you want to be remembered as a guy in a group that needed to use the numbers game to get ahead in this business. It’s not a bad thing it is just something that you need to think about. Sometimes you need to look at yourself in the mirror and say that you want to break out and be something by yourself. Of course the Jr. Heavyweight title is your chance but time after time you keep on saying if they lose weight we will invoke this rule. Why? Don’t you want to be someone that holds a title by himself and defends it by himself without looking at an opponent and say “hey Matt you got this guy” or “Chris it is your turn” and lastly “Guys I’ve got this one.” Look I might be sounding harsh to you right now man but in all reality I am just asking you questions that every single other wrestler here is thinking.
He runs his hands through his hair and gets up from the chair and starts to walk to his locker room.
I’m ready for this match because I want to be talked about. That is what every single one of us wants. You will be good in this match as well and like I have said you can swear up and down that you will give me a fair fight but how can I trust you? How can I look you in the eyes and say that you are on the up and up. I don’t want to take that chance but of course man I will not have anyone come down to the ring with me. I hope that this match is one on one and the better man will win.
With all of the talk we have had these past few weeks I still respect you. You wrestle in a different style than I do you are going to try and keep me grounded by putting holds on me, wear me down and try and make me quit but man I don’t quit easy. There have been days that I have wanted to quit and ride off into the sunset but I never did man because I can’t let those people win. You can put holds on me but I will not give up you are going to have to kill me to beat me. What I will bring to the table you already know is my speed and my high flying skill set, so in other words something has to give. One of us will walk out with our hand raised and the other will have to go back to the drawing board but no matter what happens I will shake your hand at the end of the night win or lose. I promise.
He opens the locker room door and walks in the door slowly closes as the scene fades.
