It's been a very long road back, and with life throwing it's various obstacles in our path we still managed to get the show up on time. Big props to Justin for working through a bad flu to help get this mammoth up, I don't know if I could've done the same thing in your circumstances. With the new season MSW has gone through quite a few changes to say the least. A big shout out and Thank You to everyone who came back and/or joined us for the relaunch, it means the world to us and without you none of this would be possible. So you know the deal, show is up. Tell us what you thought, what you liked, etc etc etc.

Gotta' say I really enjoyed the show. I'm not going to go into every single match and segment mind you, but thought I'd just relay a few thoughts.
First off, the commentary was real solid. The face/heel dynamic here worked really well. On top of that, it gave the whole card a little bit extra epicness if you will. I really like Smith, and really don't like Bradford. Props for pulling off that effect.
The IC3 stuff was all solid as well. From his intro and immediate abuse of power kicking out Drew Stevenson, to manipulating pretty much the whole show and culminating in the clusterfuck that was the MSW title match. Which by the way was written exceptionally well to keep things unpredictable. Unstoppable 17 should be just as interesting as we will surely see more fallout from IC3's hostile takeover.
One thing that did bug me though, was the Ric Flair comment by the commentators in I think the women's 3-way. Breaking kayfabe is a major pet peeve for me though.
Another observation, though not really a detractor. It felt like the earlier matches were overall better than the last 3. Granted the Main Event was a clusterfuck as I said earlier, and you couldn't write it any better or any other way. Still, it felt like the matches that didn't have an immediate impact on the show's overarching storyline were the ones that really got the most attention. Perhaps that was the point though. Give those folks their time in the spotlight, and minimize the matches for the rest when the bulk of the story there was in the onward segments.
Overall though, a real solid first card. I'm sorry I wasn't involved in it, but can't wait to get in on the action regardless. Good job everybody. This definitely set the foundation for a great cycle to come.

One thing I can say about this is while we don't really acknowledge CURRENT wrestling, but we do acknowledge things of the past. In fact, there were others that thought same as you, my friend, but when the warrior passed we did an Ultimate Warrior memorial show because we gotta thing, a lot of our characters past... they wouldn't want to get into wrestling because of another efedding wrestler. They almost always get their inspiration from a wrestler from the past. So, we do acknowledge our world, and wrestlers of the past. It's always been a thing I've been part of when coming up through fedding, so it's a little different but we make it work with what we do. And on the later matches, a lot of those were ones I wrote, but like Kyle said, Im fighting a pretty nasty flu right now so I definitely did what I could in my circumstance, still trying to put out the best results I could. Once I'm 100% better and have a lot more focus, the over-all picture will come across a lot better in the future Flu's suck.

Once I'm 100% better and have a lot more focus, the over-all picture will come across a lot better in the future Flu's suck. Well props to you, sir, for plowing through despite that flu. Don't know if I could do the same, much less put out quality stuff while doing with that. Much respect to you there. The matches weren't even bad per se, just there was a noticeable drop off. As for the other stuff, I guess I'm just very old school. Been in the game since '99. That being said, I don't even watch wrestling at all anymore. It tends to bore and literally put me to sleep these days. So I draw my character inspiration from other media - books, movies, TV shows, video games, etc. I do understand though that with so many communities in the e-w world, there's no definitive Hall of Fame across the board, if you will. One community's legends are untested rookies to another. So I do get your logic behind breaking kayfabe to mention the defacto legends of real wrestling. Still don't agree with it mind you, but I've seen far worse and can move past/ignore it.

results felt like MSW didn't lose a grip from unstoppable 15 to 16 results wise, loving the new things to come.
