(I know, not the best, but just a quick intro piece and I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.)
A red Honda Civic pulls up to a parking lot. After a few moments, a worn tennis shoe steps out onto the pavement and then the second follows. We move up to see the pair of sneakers belong to a tall brunette, her hair done up in a loose ponytail. She takes a gaze up at the building in front of her, taking a small inhalation of breath. After taking that moment, she moves and closes the driver's side door she was occupying and opens the rear one on that side. She grabs a small gym bag and slings it over her shoulder and closes the door, taking a quick second to make sure she locked it. One can never be too safe. A small walk to the front of the building, the woman opens the door and steps inside, walking at a slow pace, eyeing just about everything she can as she scopes out her new surroundings. Finally, she sees a familiar face and it makes her crack a smile. She walks over towards his way.
Hey Lebroc..
Lebroc Harris turns around and does a little bit of a double take as he notices whom called him.
Oh snap! Seriously?
This makes her chuckle.
Yeah, it's me. Question, have you seen Decaine? I was supposed to meet him here when I got in, and well, I just got in.
Um...yeah, last time I saw him he was in an office down the hall on the left.
She nods.
Thanks, Lebroc. I'll catch you later.
She then takes her leave and heads down that hallway he motioned to. She comes to a door and sees it is ajar at the moment but the person she wants to speak with is in there. She opens the door and knocks on the frame at the same time.
Talen Decaine?
Decaine. Everybody just usually calls me Decaine...
He looks up to see whom is there at his door and his face lightens up.
There she is. Emma Douglas. Come on in.
She steps in and takes a seat in the opposing chair from his little desk.
Thanks, Mr. Decaine..
Decaine.
Anyways...thank you for taking time to see me and ya know...
Well, of course. I'd do damn near anything to help out your brother so agreeing to see his very talented little sister was the least I could do. He always did good by me. How's he doing, by the way?
He's doing okay, considering. They managed to catch it early enough so he didn't need the usual surgery that tends to absolutely gut the insides all to shreds, so that was a plus. But the chemo has been rough on him. Taken away alot of his strength and stamina. But he's getting there. Just wasn't up to running his own gym for a while there.
Emma shakes her head.
But he's coming along, wanted to get back into the office there. He's enjoying married life. I had to stay close, you know, just in case, things...
She trails off a bit, as she does so, she brushes a bit of hair that came loose on the side of her hair back over her ear.
I was going stir crazy trying to train kids here and there and needed some time on the road, or atleast some time away for a little bit. You know how it goes.
Yeah...
I'm ready to get to work whenever.
That's great. Let's go a couple of doors down and speak with the guys in Talent Relations, Justin "Giant" Rowe and Frank Washington.
I know of them.
Excellent. After you...
She nods and smiles and she stands up. Decaine is up and right behind her. She stops momentarily at the door frame.
Thanks again.
My pleasure.
They share a small dry smile as the exit the small office and move on down the hall. Fade.
