Nikki walks into the Emerald Academy wearing his civi's. A pair of jeans -which was rather odd considering the heat and humidity that day-, a white shirt that is mostly covered by a black hoodie -also very odd considering it was 87 and sunny. His gear bag is slung over his shoulder and his earbuds are in. Regardless, our ever so beautiful Barbara Braman approaches Nikki and taps him on the shoulder. Nikki removes one earbud and turns toward Barbara. 'What can I do you for, Babs?' He says donning a smile.
'Well,' Barbara says reaching for the neat custom microphone hip holster she has on her left hip. She draws the microphone from it as she spins on her heel away from Nikki. A cameraman swoops in from seemingly nowhere and adjusts the focus. 'Matt Ward has taken a video with Dick Capone commenting on the tag team match that opens Unstoppable 26. That match is between two-thirds of the Alley Cats and the team of Duke Andrews and my guest at this time, Nikki Venom.' She turns to Nikki. 'Nikki, do you believe lightening will strike twice in the same place?'
Nikki's smile drops as he is confused about what exactly is going on. He looks at the camera, then at Babs, then at the camera. 'Are we doing some sort of Candid Camera thing?' Nikki straightens up and turns toward the camera with his gear bag still over his shoulder. 'Ah well, you have kind of caught me off-guard, but I do not believe lightening will strike twice.' He smiles. 'See, the reason I am here today is not for interviews,' he says as he turns his gaze onto the back of Barbara's head. 'But rather to train. Specifically, to train with Duke Andrews. He and I have been around the bizz for a long time, and Unstoppable 25 was the first time we ever met in the ring. We may know a lot about the character of each other, and we may know what to expect out of each other, but we don't know how to wrestle with each other as tag team partners. That tends to happen when you team for the first time.'
Barbara looks into Nikki's beautiful azure eyes too excited by this opportunity to become lost in his gaze. 'Do you believe there is any bad blood between yourself and Duke Andrews? Matt Ward brought that up, and it is reasonable to believe that will factor into the result of the match.'
'As I said,' Nikki says as he readjusts the gear bag. 'Duke and I do know each other's character. We know each other's heart, grit, determination, and -most importantly- our love for this business. We respect the honour and tradition that this business is known for and what this company used to be known for. With Duke and I we know that what we see is what we get. As long as we are on the same page, there is no reason as to why we should lose this match.'
Barbara nods and pulls her microphone back. 'Matt Ward also said that you need to wake up. He said that you need to see the error of your ways and presumably leave or screw Duke Andrews.'
Nikki snickers almost unnaturally. 'Wake up? I can assure you I am not asleep. I know what people have been saying, and I know that DIC' he pronounces the name as deek like the defunct entertainment company from Luxembourg. 'Seems to think that Frankie Cocheese broke me, but to be honest I was in a downward spiral. Sister Catherine was the one that helped pull me out of it. So will I see the error of my ways? I already have.'
Barbara pulls the microphone back. 'Matt also made it clear he did not want your strange bedfellows team to underestimate the Alley Cats. He asked if you were scared.'
Nikki barely reacts as he holds the smile on his face. 'MSW has seen an influx of top-tier talent recently. It's just another way in which MSW has changed. Guys like Matt Ward, Duke and I have been held down for a while. We've been glossed over. People look at the Alley Cats and think they are a joke of a team. Matt Ward has been around for a long time, and isn't that bad of a wrestler. Chris Orton screams a little too much for my liking, but he is Bad Guy for a reason. I have expressed how I believe Duke should be the one that gets a shot at the Pure15 Championship. The Alley Cats have been a mainstay for a while now, and if the Tag Team Championships come back they deserve a shot. The Alley Cats are in a very similar position as Duke and I. While Matt may respond with aggression, I will respond with love. The love Sister Catherine has shown me. See you around, Babs.' Nikki begins to walk toward the change rooms.
