The cameras are set up in the backstage area, the cameraman giving the signal as Robert Fields moves into position for an online segment recording. Fields stands up straight and stares into the camera with a microphone in hand, the camera pulling back to get a broader shot of Fields standing with both Robert Garland and Travis Rech. Rech is shown still wearing a suit with his neck brace, Garland in his usual backstage attire as the cameras start to record.
Robert Fields – Hello online MSW community! I’m here with two of the most controversial people on the MSW scene, Robert “Badger” Garland, and Travis Rech. Garland, that was a hell of a match up out there on the last Unstoppable. You must feel good, gaining momentum going into your upcoming match at Best Of The Best. Can you tell us a little bit about what’s going on as you prepare to face off against the fan favorite that is Frank Washington?
Garland does not respond, although he seems a bit bothered at the fan favorite comment. Rech notices Garland’s lack of interest in this interview, and gives Fields his full attention. Rech calls for the microphone to be directed towards him, Fields responding as Rech begins to speak for his client.
Travis Rech – 'ave ya not been listenin' ta anythin' we've been sayin' these last few months? All that's goin' through Garland's mind is revenge an' tha chance ta serve ah steamin' plate of justice. This man... This, "fan favorite" has had enough time goadin' these people inta believin' his lies. 'E's had enough time gettin' away with his past heinous actions. Now, it's time that Robert "Badger" Garland reminds him of his past. It is time that Garland meets him in tha ring an' shows these people what ah lyin' piece of trash that Frank Washington is.
'E shows no remorse fer his actions, 'e only shows remorse once he has tha eyes of tha "sheep" lookin' upon him. 'E's doing his best out there ta try an' make them feel sorry fer him an' hide tha fact that is his cowardice nature. Washington doesn't want this match, he wants ta take tha past an' bury it under a rug. An' do ya know why? 'E's afraid of what he knows Garland will do ta him, an' 'e's afraid that his true character will show when 'e tries his best ta weasel his way through this massacre.
Oh sure, 'e's been showin' everyone that 'e's amped. 'E's been telling everyone that 'e's ready fer war! But, unlike Garland, Washington has been deliverin' his messages behind tha authority in tha back an' tha security guards in tha ring. 'E's been hidin' behind them ta help keep Garland at bay... 'E' doesn't do anything up front an' man ta man! Which is why 'e will not only lose at Best of tha Best, but 'e won't be able ta get up off that mat unless assisted bah that very same management that's been tryin' ta twist this match in his favor!
Rech stops his tyraid, staring at Robert Fields as Fields pulls the microphone back. Garland remains stoic as Fields seems to be stuck looking for the next question. After a close up of both Garland and Rech, Robert Fields begins to speak again.
Robert Fields – Both well spoken and very interesting Mr. Rech. The next thing I'd like to ask is if you feel like the two of you have forced management to make this match up? What with the constant interrupting of booked matches and the numerous attacks the two of you have made on your future opponent.
Once again, Rech calls for the microphone, Garland seeming uninterested as the cameras focus on his manager. Rech seems like he's gathered his thoughts and gives a response.
Travis Rech – Did we force this match up ta take place? Of course we did. Ya can't challenge ah snake ta come out of its hole without pokin' it with ah stick... Metaphorically an' in reality of course. All we've done is cornered Frank Washington until 'e was forced ta accept our challenge. It's ah bit of strategery that we employed ta play on Washington's falsehoods. Underneath that bravado 'e's been tryin' ta show off is that very same snake who realized 'e was trapped bah tha Badger, an' in his fear 'e is tryin' his best ta bite back. An' Ah'm sure ya know this already, but badgers tend ta make ah meal outta snakes.
Ya see, if we had gone and attacked him an' he didn't accept ah match up with Garland, then tha fans that 'e's so keen on keepin' in his pocket, would start ta see him as weak. An', ta challenge this fake persona of his, we tested just how much he was willing ta hide an' eventually trapped him in ah situation with those "sheep" such that he could not deny our continuin' call-outs. Truly this, is tha brilliance of mah managerial skills... Tha brilliance that Washington is so ashamed that 'e got trapped up in that 'e picked me up last Unstoppable an' dropped me on mah head! 'E was playin' around that no contact rule with Garland, that his managerial friends forced inta place, an' once again showin' his true cowardly nature...
Robert Fields – *Moving the microphone back to his face* Now you mentioned this very interesting no contact rule with Frank Washington, but I'm surprised you haven't been making any more moves on Daniel Smart since the second night of the tournament. Did you just use Smart to further pull Washington into your trap? Or, is there really the start of a grudge between Garland and Smart thanks to the outcome of their first match?
This time Fields places his microphone towards Garland, doing his best to get some comments first hand. Garland continues to look uninterested, but then changes his face to a slightly annoyed look. Rech starts to chuckle out loud as Fields seems to finally get the message as to how this interview will continue. Fields once again directs his microphone towards Travis Rech who stops chuckling after a short time and begins to answer.
Travis Rech – Smart got nothin' but lucky when 'e was facin' off with us round one. An', if afta Garland turned him inta ah bloody mess 'e would go on ta make it ta tha finals... That jus' means that Garland would have beat everyone of those men as well an' probably more handily. If it weren't fer Washington puttin' himself where 'e didn't belong, Smart wouldn't be where 'e is today. Maybe if his luck continues and he walks away from Best of tha Best as tha champion... 'E can keep that title belt warm until we're done with puttin' Washington in the hospital an' go an' get it from him.
Robert Fields – Finally, going into Best Of The Best can you tell us all more about the past issues between Garland and Washington? We've heard a lot from Washington and a bit from Garland this past Unstoppable, but now seems like a good time to get more of the story.
As Fields goes to give the microphone over to Rech, Garland intercepts it this time. To Field's surprise, Garland takes the microphone and finally stops looking so bored. Garland raises the microphone, Rech nodding in agreement as Garland speaks into the camera.
Robert Garland - There's not much more to say about this whole situation. Everythin' I want to say about it, I've already said. Frank's a bad man to put it simply... Washington's hidin' his true colors as Rech's already explained. You don't go from robin' and kidnappin' an old friend to carin' about what people think with the flip of a switch. There's an ulterior motive here that Washington's tryin' to pull the wool over on. There's a plan he's schemin' that will either make him more money or give to him some other benefit. But, I'm sick of all this backstabbin'. I'm tired of any kind of Frank Washington there is, and I'm here to put an end to each and every face he tries to put on.
You see Frank, I'm tryin' to shepherd these sheep away from the wolf and towards the truth! I'm here to show them, in that ring, exactly what kind of man they're cheerin' for night in and night out. You're a liar, a cheater, and a turncoat. There's no room in this world for men like you who continue to prey off of every one around you. And, there's no gettin' off from the crimes you've committed without some form of reprimands.
At Best of The Best, the two of us will finally get what I've been waitin' for for over a year. We'll be facin' off and there will be no one gettin' in our way. I'll get to put my hands around your neck and choke you out after I've broken a limb or two all in payment for the problems you've caused me! If it wasn't for you, I'd probably be out there shakin' the hands of all those people, kissin' babies and signin' autographs... Instead? I've gotten a prison record, I've been deemed unsignable in the wrestlin' business and called a dangerous man to have in any arena. It's far past time for all this to end... There won't be a sunshine filled finish out there when we get into the ring. This is a fight Frank. This is a war. And, this won't go away, no matter how much you want it to, until neither of us can continue in this industry that we both have made our livin's off of for all these years.
Now I'm done talkin', and I'm ready to put an end to this. I'm goin' finish my trainin' regiment... And, I'll see you at the big show... Cut those cameras off Fields, because you just got all the footage that I'm givin' out!
With that, Garland violently hands the microphone back to Robert Fields. Fields calls for the cameras to cut, Garland and Rech making their way off screen as the scene fades to black.
