The last Missouri State Wrestling event was nothing short of success. Farrah Farris had managed to capture the victory for she and her partner, Heather Jones, in a clean finish. The win was considered a surprising one, with both Farris and Jones being known "newbies" to the wrestling scene and snatching the triumph over a pair of "polished" veterans in Marisol Hawkes-James and Christine Nash. With an achievement already hot on her heels, Farrah was heading into a new round of competition: Unstoppable #12, also known as the Back To Basics Pre-Show. In what was only the second time in the promotion's history, women would be main eventing the card, and Farrah was granted the honor in participating in said contest. The opposition? Marisol Hawkes-James and Xena Nex. The bout was definitely an anticipated one, as it wasn't everyday that women would be ranked so highly on the card; but that was what held Missouri State Wrestling apart from all the other federations around the world. The Women of Tradition were treated well, they weren't just eye candy .. they were athletes; driven, determined, and passionate about the industry they worked within. With a loss already on Marisol Hawkes-James' record, and some MSW experience under Xena Nex's belt, it would make an interesting combination when they'd come to blows with the debuting Anica Townsend and Farrah Farris, who was already off to a good start within the company. All four women had their own agenda, each with the desire to come out on top and show everyone what they were capable of.
With the Unstoppable #12 show only less than a week away, it was time to have one's voice heard. Farrah Farris was known to always be on the ball when it came to informing fans on what she was up to and what she had planned, and this time it was no different. Earlier that morning, The Blonde Bombshell had scheduled a small recording session with the streaming services offered by MSW, giving her the opportunity to address the fanbase on her upcoming contest. However, this wasn't going to be your normal, run-of-the-mill segment. Farris had instead requested to receive tweets regarding anything in general or more specifically, her upcoming bout against Hawkes-James and Nex. These tweets would then be randomly selected and read aloud, and she would happily answer them for the public. Any and every question was fair game and all were wanting to be answered by The Flawless Floridian, but it would come down to scheduling and how many she'd be able to answer in the allotted time frame. Entering the building a minute or so ahead of schedule was Farrah Farris herself, her golden blonde locks cascading past her slender shoulders, a pair of dark, denim jeans and a revealing top fitted perfectly on her frame, helping her bare with the hot, hot heat of Kansas City, Missouri. She greeted a few of the bystanders with a bright smile, one that was so radiant and warm, and surely took their breath away. Moving a pair of sunglasses atop of her head, Farris immediately strode to her destination, and entered the room. Noticing a leather couch and laptop with the MSW logo printed square on the back of it, she happily plopped down on the sofa and dragged the computer onto her lap. A technician was already in the room and gave her the countdown, signaling that recording had begun and it was time to start the promotional segment.
"Good afternoon to all of you out there in the MSW Universe watching today! I have quite a little treat for you, but before we get to that .. can I just say 'wow'? A little over a week ago I made my official debut and came out on top. I'll admit, a part of me was kind of nervous .. I felt like the experience exuded from my competition could have given them the advantage in the match, but what it came down to was mine and Heather Jones' determination and drive to seal the deal and win us the bout. To be able to lay a veteran like Marisol Hawkes-James out on the canvas and hook her leg for the one, two, three? Incredible! I still, like, can't even get over it. It's definitely one of those moments in my career that I'll never forget. I went out there and had the support of so many people, but what I really wanted to do was go out there and earn their respect. I feel that people looked at me differently as soon as they saw what I was capable of; that I'm much more than just a pretty face. I went out to that ring at Unstoppable #11 and showed everyone that The Farris Wheel is no joke, and it's a ride that will hopefully carry me to endless success here in MSW. With that one victory under my belt, it's now time for me to get back in that ring again with some more tag action, except this time, I have another partner in my corner: Anica Townsend! Heather Jones was great to work with, but she's off to bigger and better things on the main show, competing for that number one contendership; if you're watching this, Heather, good luck, girl! Now .. I'm sure you're all wondering what I'm doing here with a laptop, and now I'm gonna' tell you! I decided it'd be fun to answer some questions that you'll send me via Twitter. Questions will be picked at random and I'll answer them best I can! So, let's get things started with our first question .. it should be up on screen!"
"Great question! Thanks, Wrestling News Source! You know, I really do believe that I can pull out a second, consecutive victory. If I didn't think I could, then that'd be like throwing the towel in from the get go. Look at last week; the odds were basically stacked against Heather and I, but we still pushed through and came out the other side with our heads held high. This upcoming week, it'll be no different. I do think there are some things leaning in my favor this round, though. One of the key factors is that I've already defeated Marisol Hawkes-James before. I pinned her at the last event in order to get the win! You could say, 'who cares', but when I'm in the ring, I don't just throw out moves to survive and finish things off with a win .. I study my opposition. I watch how these women move, work, and note what their strengths and weaknesses are. Your eye is your strongest weapon. Seeing, noticing, and observing are what can really give you an advantage in this industry; that's what I've always been told. Taking what you see and adapting to it, taking advantage of it .. that's what will help me at the Pre-Show when I inevitably tie up with Marisol in the squared circle. I know what makes her tick and what doesn't, and that will definitely come in handy come next Wednesday. But then again, you also need to factor in that this is a tag contest, and it doesn't all come down to just myself or Marisol. Anica Townsend is another factor, but I know that she'll go out there and work her butt off to help us get the win. She's got good work ethic. As for Xena Nex teaming with Marisol? I mean, I don't know. She's been lurking in the shadows and hasn't said or done much in recent weeks, so I can't really say I know what to expect when it comes to her .. but I do know that she's a fighter; I didn't stare her down weeks ago for nothing! From my point of view, Anica and I have this. It's all about believing in yourself, that you can do anything. I'll be getting that consecutive victory; just you all wait and see! Okay, next question!"
"Oh my god; Manica!? Y'know, only someone like Eli Treborn would tweet something like this! Ha-ha, but thanks for the question regardless, Prince! I appreciate it. But, onto my answer: Anica seems to get poor treatment for whatever reason, but honestly, she's a hard-worker. I've worked out beside her a few times the past couple of days and we've been going over what we wanna' do and she has just as much of a will to win as I do, and that's what makes a great team. I know that she's going to go out to that ring with the same mentality that I am, and that's to do whatever it takes to win and put on an entertaining match at the same time. After all, look at us .. we're main eventing! How crazy is that! It's exciting! It's amazing! Anica and I aren't going to take this lightly whatsoever. We want to show management and all the fans that we're deserving of headlining Unstoppable #12, the Back To Basics Pre-Show. All in all, I feel more than content teaming with Anica. I know that she and I are going to really bring it. Marisol Hawkes-James might have all these accomplishments from her past, but those didn't come into play at Unstoppable #11, did they? Xena Nex supposedly has this diva, self-absorbed mentality where she's so much better than everyone else, when in reality, what has she honestly done worth remembering? That's the kind of attitude that'll end you up on your backside and rolled up for the one, two, three. If the last MSW event is any indication, all that matters is what happens in that ring, not what you're known for, what you've won in the past, or who you are .. it's the passion and will to win that means everything, and of 'course, the talent that you possess! It's a craft you have to constantly work at it. Anica has been working ruthlessly to get ready for this match, as have I, and I know we're going to make our loved ones proud next Wednesday."
"I think we only have time for one question, and this is it! Thank you, Aesthetic Magazine! This is actually something I figured would be asked. From my point of view, I feel that opportunities need to be earned. I'm new .. I realize that I haven't really acquired a shot to fight for the title. I'm not going to storm around throwing out insults, saying I deserve this and that, that I need to face the champion, that I should be in that contendership match .. no. I want to earn it. I want it to be a journey. I want to work myself to the point where when I step into the ring, fighting another woman or women for the chance to face the champion, that I feel that I belong there. I don't want to be that fish out of water that everyone talks about, saying I don't deserve to be in such a match. I want everyone to look at me as someone that has worked and trained and persevered to get to where she is. And I have. I've worked so hard in and out of facilities all around the United States before settling down here in Missouri and getting signed with MSW. This is a new chapter in my life, but like all those other times, I'm starting from the bottom and working my way to the top; honestly, I wouldn't want it any other way. One day I'll be in a contendership match, one day I'll face the champion, one day I might even be the champion, but until then .. I'm a working girl, fighting my way through a group of women. And hey, it's not all bad! Main eventing Unstoppable; it only the second time women have done so since MSW's creation? That's just as honorable to me! I look at the glass half-full instead of half-empty. I don't ever let things like not being booked for certain matches get me down. My time will come, and when it does, I'll be ready. Until then, Anica and I are going to show that we're the future and we're ones to watch out for. Talk to you all real soon, bye loves!"
With the flick of her wrist, Farrah Farris pressed her fingertips against the monitor of the laptop and shut it closed. The scene slowly began to fade to darkness, as Farris gave a small wave the lens, just before the segment ended. Even though it had only been three tweets, three questions .. each had posed a valuable piece concerning the anticipated match. With a sigh, Farrah pushed the laptop off her thighs and stood to full height, shaking hands with the technician and giving him a friendly, side hug. Grabbing her bag that she had carried into the building, she slipped the strap over her shoulder and proceeded out of the room and off to her next scheduled task on her itinerary. It was bound to be a busy couple of days for The Blonde Bombshell, as there was alot of press work and publicity needing done leading up to MSW's super show, Back To Basics. But more than that, it was also valuable time for Farris to really get her head in the game once again and also, to follow up on her promise: that she and Anica Townsend would in fact end up victorious. If it was one of the things that Farrah strived to be, it was an individual who kept their promises .. and this was a promise she was eager to keep.
