"The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can't do. For instance, you can accept the fact that your father was a pirate and a good man or you can't. But pirate is in your blood, boy, so you'll have to square with that someday. And me, for example, I can let you drown, but I can't bring this ship into Tortuga all by me onesies, savvy? So, can you sail under the command of a pirate, or can you not?" - Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Carribean)
The scene opens to a shot of the Los Angeles skyline, taking a glance at the various buildings and other such landmarks that make the city what it is today. It lingers on a shot of the sky which looks rather dark and ominous at the moment. Clouds are gathering, thick and heavy and the sky which was once a bright blue earlier in the day has now turned a sour looking grey, indicating that storms and the like are definitely on their way very soon. There's a slight breeze in the air but even that too is getting stronger and stronger as time wears on. Things slowly fade out from the skyline that you were viewing to fade in upon a large white house situated somewhere in a quiet neighborhood somewhere in Los Angeles. Things are quiet at the moment, save for the occasional tweeting of a bird.
The camera bobs around the side of the house, walking around to the back to find the one and only Autumn Raven sitting in a rather comfy looking lawn chair next to a table with an umbrella attached to it. There's a drink sitting next to her arm and a book sitting off to the side of that, showing that she was at least doing something while she was sitting there. She's on her cellphone at the moment, slowly conversing with the person on the other end of the line, waving her one free hand around every so often to make a point about what she was saying.
"I know, the weather is looking pretty bad right about now. Weather reports are saying that this system that's coming is bad. Not on the level of evacuate the whole damn city, but enough to make you go inside and take cover in your basement. You gonna be okay? I know you're at work and everything..."
"Yeah I'll be ok, don't worry. We got somewhere to take shelter if things hit the fan. Just promise me you won't be sitting outside watching it as it happens."
"I promise. All I'm doing right now is just sitting out back, watching things get steadily worse. I'll go in once it starts to freakin' rain."
There's a bit of laughter on the other end of the line.
]"And why aren't you wrestling right now? Shouldn't you be bashing heads or something?"
Autumn let out a long sigh, tapping her fingers on the armrest of the chair.
"I go where I'm needed. I was at the latest event, even though I wasn't on the card. Call it curiosity, mainly. I wanted to see what went down at this whole women's title number one contendership match. I wanted to see it all. When and where I make my impact is up to me and me alone. The suits know I'm still here, it's not like I've left or anything. I'll jump in when the time is right, and trust me, I'll know."
Autumn laughed, then stopped as she held out her hand, feeling the wet drops on her hand begin. One glance to the sky and she quickly shot out of her chair, still on the phone and grabbed her drink and book before scrambling inside of her house to wait out this storm that was coming...
